The Bald Soprano
Madame was very kind enough to take us all out to see the Bald Soprano (I don’t remember what it was in French). It was hilarious, simple words, and the actors spoke slowly and clearly, so I understood the whole play.
So what was the play about? I’ll tell you: absolutely nothing. The actors run around talking about everything and nothing, it all takes place in one room with 6 actors: 2 couples who are told they are not married – and they believe this! 1 maid who is killed when she had a panic attack – I guess everyone was just getting sick of her when they disposed of her? One random policeman who talks about…nothing. My favorite quote is “Comme c’est curieux, comme c’est bizarre, et quelle coincidence!” Great play.
