Kyle's gone on scout camp since Wednesday, so it's been kinda lonely here. Thank goodness I've had something to do all day with teller training and all that, but after 5:00, I come home and there's nobody waiting for me at the door. Oh, well.
Speaking of which, I've completed training! Today, we got to work on the teller line while our trainer stood behind us and helped us out whenever we needed him. It was nerve-wracking for a few minutes, especially when my very first transaction was a woman who came in with a gigantic wad of cash and I was so nervous that I would count it all wrong, but it turned out to be okay. I kind of wish that I'd done some jobs more focused on customer service so that I could feel more natural at this job, but there's no time like the present to perfect your skills!
I'm so glad that we were able to do a bit of real live action today, though. It was slow today, so I had some time in between customers to ask questions and double check that I was doing everything right. The branch I'll be working at will be the busiest branch at UCCU, and I'm not looking forward to the stress. Once I get used to it, I'm certain that I'll be fine.
Today, after I got home and started watering the garden, I bumped into this girl who was out running and had taken a moment to take a breather and a stretch by our house. I asked her if she wanted some water (because, you know, I had a watering can in my hand, and I meant it for a joke if she wanted some out of that, tee hee). Turns out, she'd been out for a while, and she really did want some water, so I went and got her a glass. It made me feel good, especially since I got to show off my home to a complete stranger. She was really sweet. I hope she's not frying out there!
Also, I just remembered, I forgot to mention in my last post that the water heater issue was taken care of. Turns out, it wasn't turned up. Since no one was living here for a month, the landlord wanted to save money and turned it down low and forgot to tell us. No harm done, and we don't have to worry about cold dish water. Yay! (No A/C though is killer.)

Good thing she wasn't an ax murderer in disguise!
