December in March

Hey, does this picture look a little off?

March tends to be one of my favorite and least favorite seasons of all. It's my favorite because it's Spring! The snow is finally melting, the birds are singing, the flowers and trees are just starting to grow again, and everything is beautifully wonderful and warm.

It's also my least favorite because it's a schizophrenic month. It's beautiful and warm one day, and the next is blistering cold and snowy. Like today. So backwards. At least spring doesn't totally leave, because I'm looking out the window into the snow and I see a big fat robin flaunting his lovely red breast. If he hasn't found a mate soon, he ought to.

You know what's funny, though? I was planning on maybe doing some gardening for my landlords today, since they have a new baby and they're still trying to construct their house. They don't have much time for anything, and I thought I might help out. Thanks, snow! Thanks for ruining my plans!

So I'm just hanging out here by my space heater, watching movies, eating tomato soup and pumpkin spice hot chocolate. Such perfect food for a cold day. (Also, I think I'm gonna go on a liquid diet for a while until the holes in my mouth heal up. It kinda hurts when I clean it out, but it's healing quite quickly. I don't expect to be on this diet for more than a day or two.)

Kyle's gone right now on his interview. He's probably having lunch right now, too, and hopefully all is going well. He had to leave this morning at 8:30, so he dropped me off at work and I walked home because I couldn't find a ride back. Fortunately, Cherry Creek (the one in Springville) had orchestra today, so it wasn't that long of a walk. A little chilly, but not too bad.

Enjoy spring for me, everyone! I'm still sitting here in my frozen pond...

I hope it gets warmer soon, that your mouth heals quickly, and that the interview went well. Hoping for lots of things!!
