I do not think it means what you think it means.

So in my last post, I used the word "gallivanting," as in "I must be gallivanting!" Turns out, the context in which I was using it did not match up to the actual definition of the word. It is not synonymous with "going," unfortunately.

gal·li·vant

[gal-uh-vant, gal-uh-vant] 
–verb (used without object)
1. to wander about, seeking pleasure or diversion; gad.
2. to go about with members of the opposite sex

I promise; that is not what I was doing. I was going to class. Use this indiscretion as an example, fellow English-rhetoricians! Be careful of the words you use...
