ik hou van je, België en Nederland

Ladies and gentlemen, I have some big news that takes place in 78 days time -

Things are back on track, folks!

Back in February, the mission was deferred, but it was by no means no longer an option. Bishop gave me time to think seriously about all of the doors that were open to me, and I've once more decided that this is the one I should take.

Called a few numbers, had several interviews, and lo and behold, my stake president called me this morning at 7:45 and told me that my new entry date is August 10th. I'm going to Europe!
These pictures were taken on the day I opened my mission papers.

Is it safe to say that I'm terrified? Excited, but absolutely petrified of the idea that I'll be living in a part of the world, not for three months, but for eighteen months, speaking a language I do not know in a culture that I do not understand.

Regardless, this is an amazing opportunity, and I know that there are thousands of things that I'll be learning just by giving up a year and a half of my life for the service of people I do not know. God loves these people, and he needs me to help them. Can you imagine the work I'll be doing? This is spectacular!

Belgium and Netherlands, here I come!
